An elegant large single meticulously hand-carved gilt wooden sconce from the early 20th Century Italy. There is a ribbon and acanthus leaf motif throughout and it has a wonderful patina.
The two arms extend from the middle with a round trumpet-like shape to support the long candelabra sockets. There is a detailed carved woven ribbon at the top that continues to extend down the spine and finish with a pair of tassels.
The size and detail of this sconce are sure to command attention in any room or hallway.
